    The FETK is suitable for 12 V and 24 V systems. In 24 V systems the load dump capability is reduced. The FETK-T4.0B will also accept voltage drops down to 3 V, for a maximum duration of 15 ms (for additional details of low voltage operation, see ISO standard 16750).

    The FETK-T4.0B monitors the VDDSBRAM supply on board the FETK. The microcon- troller’s standby power supply pin must be connected to the FETK pin VDDSBRAM.

    SWD Interface Fig. 3-6 Equivalent Circuitry of the ECU SWD Interface (ECU) The FETK-T4.0B operates the Single Wire Debug (SWD) interface. The FETK-T4.0B hardware incorporates 22 Ohm series termination resistors for the output ports SWCLK, SWDIO, TDO and /TRST. Similar termination should be considered on the ECU board - depending both on the layout and on the SWD interface clock rate.

    3.10.2 Triggering via Trace Interface The FETK-T4.0B provides support for up to 255 data trace triggers. The trace trig- gers are defined within a section of RAM covered by a trace window. Both the trace window and trace triggers are defined in the FETK’s configuration and/or A2L file. A write by the microcontroller software to a trace trigger location causes a trace trigger.

    The FETK Ethernet interface utilizes a proprietary Ethernet protocol and is com- patible only with the Gigabit Ethernet interfaces of the ES89x ECU Interface Module. Power Supply The FETK-T4.0B needs a permanent power supply (refer chapter “Power Supply” on page 19). WARNING Risk to life from electric shock If an unsuitable power supply is used, this may generate a hazardous electrical voltage.
