3.5 PI (Patient Interface)

3.5.1 PI Removal

Precondition:
 The IOLMaster 700 has been shut down and the power cable has been removed.
Procedure:
1) Place the instrument so that the PI hangs
over the edge of the table providing access
to the two set screws.
2) Begin by loosening the two set screws
(2.5mm hex key) 2 full revolutions.
3) Using a rubber hammer gentle tap the PI side
to loosen the fixation plate.
4) Loosen/remove the two set screws
(2.5mm hex key).
5) Gently remove the PI by applying a little
upwards force and pulling away from the
instrument.
Caution!
Pay attention to not stretch/damage the
cables connected to the PI.
6) While holding the PI disconnect the
connectors, the earth cable is connected with
a screw (Torx 10).
Reassembly:
1) Reassemble in the reverse order.
