1 Tube
180° tiltable tube (standard)
This tube can be turned by 180°, allowing surgeons to sit upright even
if the microscope is tilted.
45° tube (option)
The tube cannot be pivoted, and the tube is therefore mainly suitable
for tasks performed while the microscope is in a vertical position.
Invertertube (option)
The tube is suitable for use in combination with a wide-angle observa-
tion system, as it can straighten an inverted image.
2 Eyepieces
3 Microscope body with illumination system
The microscope features integrated Stereo Coaxial Illumination (SCI) for
illuminating the surgical field. The SCI has been specially designed for the
requirements of ophthalmic applications and comprises Red Reflex and
surrounding field illumination.
The Red Reflex illumination provides an optimally visible red reflex
and can be controlled using the illumination knob on the microscope.
For information on how to set the optimum red reflex, please go to
page 44.
The surrounding field illumination provides an optimally illuminated
field of view with superb detail recognition. The brightness is controlled
via the foot control panel or the stand. In addition, the surrounding
field illumination proportion can be separately reduced or completely
deactivated using the illumination knob on the microscope.
