■ Do not make any changes to the nail and staple
gun. Changes may reduce the efficiency of the
security measures and increase the risk for the
user and/or third parties.
■ The tool must not drive fasteners into hard
surfaces such as steel or concrete.
■ Do not throw away the safety instructions.
■ Do not use a tool if it has been damaged.
■ Be careful when you are handling fasteners,
especially during loading and unloading, as the
fasteners have sharp points that could cause
injury.
■ Always inspect the tool for defective, incorrectly
connected or worn parts before use.
■ Do not lean too far forward. Use only in a safe
workplace. Always make sure you have firm
footing and keep your balance at all times.
■ Keep third parties away (if you are working in
an environment where through traffic of people
is likely). Clearly mark your work area.
■ Never aim the tool at yourself or others.
■ Only wear gloves that provide free movement
and safe operation of the trigger and all adjust-
ment devices.
■ Always use the second handle (if supplied).
■ Do not drive fasteners into the edge or corner
of the workpiece and into thin workpieces. In
this case, the workpiece can easily splinter and
the fastener could fly off and hit someone.
■ The unit is stored stably on a horizontal, level
surface.
Hazards due to flying objects
■ The nail and staple gun must not be connected
when you are unloading fasteners, making
adjustments, clearing blockages or replacing
accessories.
■ During operation, make sure that the fasteners
always penetrate the material properly and are
not deflected or misplaced in the direction of
the user and/or third parties.
■ During operation, fragments may be ejected
from the workpiece or from the fastening or
magazine system.

■ Always wear impact resistant eye protection
with side shields while operating the tool.
■ The risk to others must be assessed by the user.
■ Be careful with tools without workpiece contact,
as they can trigger unintentionally and injure the
user and/or third parties.
■ Make sure that the tool always sits securely on
the workpiece and cannot slip away.

Operational hazards

■ Hold the tool properly to be able to react to
normal or sudden movements, such as recoil.
■ Make sure you have firm footing and keep your
balance at all times.
■ Wear appropriate safety goggles; appropriate
gloves and protective clothing are recommended.
■ Appropriate hearing protection must be worn.
■ Use the correct power supply as prescribed in
the instructions.
■ User instructions must guide the user to handle
the tool appropriately. This must include infor-
mation on which applications are permitted and
which are not, as well as the associated risks,
such as working on the bed of a truck and on
moving platforms, etc.
■ User instructions must warn of the risks associ-
ated with switchable release.

Hazards due to repetitive movements

During prolonged use of a tool, the user may
experience discomfort in the hands, arms, shoul-
ders, neck or other parts of the body.
■ While using a tool, the user must adopt a suita-
ble but ergonomic posture. Secure footing must
be maintained, and awkward or unstable posi-
tions must be avoided.
■ If the user experiences symptoms such as persis-
tent or recurring discomfort, pain, palpitations,
aching spots, tingling, numbness, burning sensa-
tion or stiffness, these warning signs should not
be ignored. The user must consult a qualified
occupational health professional regarding
general activities.
