6.1

Function check

Make sure that all final checks have been completed before you start up your measuring point:
• Checklist for "Pre-installation and post-installation check" → Page 13
• Checklist for "Pre-connection and post-connection check" → Page 19
6.2

Switching on the measuring device

Once the function checks have been successfully completed, it is time to switch on the supply
voltage. The device is now operational.
The measuring device performs a number of post switch-on self-tests. Measuring mode commences
as soon as startup completes.
Note!
If startup fails, an error message indicating the cause is displayed in the FieldTool operating program.
6.3

Memory (HistoROM)

At Endress+Hauser, the term HistoROM refers to various types of memory modules on which
process data and measuring device data are stored.
6.3.1
HistoROM/M-DAT
The M-DAT is a replaceable memory in which all the characteristics of the Dosimag are saved, e.g.
nominal diameter, serial number, calibration factor, zero point, pulse value, pulse width.
