Change the Hot-Key Switching Button
By default the KVM Dock supports hot-key switching, by double-pressing the left-side
Shift button on the keyboard that's connected to the USB-A Keyboard/Data Port.
However, the application enables changing the hot-key switching button based upon
the user's choice.
To Change which keyboard button is double pressed for hot-key switching:
1. Right-Click the Application Icon (
2. Select Advanced Setting.. from the system tray menu, to launch the HostBridge
Setup window.
3. Use the KM Function Keys Box (type twice) box to set your desired button to
double-press for hot-key switching, then close the HostBridge Setup Window.
The selected button on the keyboard can now be double-pressed to initiate hot-key
switching.
Note: Hot-key changes will only take effect on computers with the software installed.
If one of the computers does not have the application installed, the default left-side
shift button will remain as the hot-key that must be double-pressed to for hot-key
switching.
Note: The keyboard shortcuts on the KVM docking station are optimized for
compatibility with conventional Windows keyboards. To ensure seamless functionality,
we recommend using keyboards that adhere to standard Windows key layouts.
