3.3 Connecting the device
Note
Reverse polarity protection
The 24 V DC power supply is protected against polarity reversal. If you mix up the 24 V DC
connecting cables and ground, the device is not damaged but does not switch on. After the
power supply has been connected correctly, the device will again be ready to operate.
Requirement
• The device has been installed.
• The protective conductor is connected.
• 1 wired terminal.
The corresponding 24 V DC power supply is off.
• 1 0.5 × 3 Philips screwdriver
Procedure
1. Insert the terminal at the marked
position.
2. Secure the terminal using the inte-
grated screws.

Connecting the terminal

The connection terminal for connecting the power supply is fitted to the device. The
connection terminal is designed for wires with a cross-section of between 0.25 mm² and 2.5
mm² (= AWG14). Only connect wires with a cross-section of ≥ 0.5 mm² (= AWG20).
You can use either semi-rigid or flexible cables. You do not need to use end sleeves.
Requirements
• 1 connection terminal
• 1 0.5 x 3 Philips screwdriver
