VII. Dealer Sales/Service Authorization and Educational Training
To become authorized to sell, service and maintain the imageRUNNER ADVANCE
DX 6800 Series a dealership must have at least one (1) technician who has
successfully completed either the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 6800 Series
Online Hardware Update Training or the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C5800
Online Hardware Update Training.
The required Online Hardware Update training includes the imageRUNNER
ADVANCE DX platform enhancements, Unified Firmware Platform service-related
enhancements for DX series devices, and the hardware modifications and
enhancements required to successfully service the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX
6800 Series machine in the field.
The learning path for the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 6800 Series Devices have
been designed to build the knowledge and skills of your support professionals that
will affect your customers in the most positive manner, both in the support of the
product and the solutions you offer.
Notes:
• Service technicians currently certified on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE
DX C5800 Series are auto certified to the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 6800
Series.
• Service technicians currently certified on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX
4700 Series but not certified for the 6700/6800, C5700/C5800, or 6000i should
follow the learning path for new technicians.
