To refresh the menu to its original format, click the Refresh button. To save a smart plan to your camera, click the
Save button.
Face Detection
The Face Detection feature cannot be used simultaneously with IVS. This plan must be disabled in the Smart Plan
menu before the Face Detection rule can be used. Below is a description of the options in this menu:
Enable: This checkbox is used to enable face detection.
Clear Counting: This checkbox is used to enable/clear face detection OSD information in the face statistics overlay.
Schedule:
Allows the user to set a schedule in which face detection will be triggered.
Enable Face Enhancement: This checkbox is used to enhance the accuracy of a detected face image.
Record: This checkbox allows the user to enable the camera to record video when an event is triggered.
Record Delay: This field specifies, in seconds, how long the delay between events should be. The default is 10
seconds however this can be modified between 10~300 seconds.
Relay Out: This checkbox allows the user to enable the camera to trigger a connected alarm (connected to the alarm
port on the back of the camera) when a video tamper alarm is triggered.
Alarm Delay: This field specifies in seconds how long the delay between alarm activation and Relay alarm activation
should be.
Send Email: This checkbox allows the user to enable the camera to send an email when an event is triggered.
Snapshot: This checkbox allows a snapshot of the event to be sent via Email when triggered.
Enable Face Exposure: This checkbox allows the user to set face target brightness and face exposure detection
interval features. Use the provided sliders to adjust these levels.
Face Target Brightness: Sets the brightness of the detected face image. The default value is 50 however
can be adjusted from 0 to 100 seconds.
Face Exposure Detection Interval: Sets the face exposure to prevent image flickering caused by
continuous exposure adjustments. The default value is 5 seconds however can be set between 0 and
100 seconds.
Detect Region: This option is used to set a face detection area. The area will be full screen by default.
Clear: This option is used to clear any face detection areas currently set.
Exclude Region: This option is used to set an area in which the face detection rule will not apply.
Clear: This option is used to clear any excluded face detection areas.
Target Filter: This option allows the user to set a maximum and minimum size of the target area. By default, this
option will be set to the max resolution, however, it can be manually adjusted.
Draw Target: Allows the user to set a target area on the live monitor screen.
Clear: Clears the modified target area to draw the target area on the live monitoring screen.
Pixel Counter: Used to measure and set the number of pixels in the target area on the live monitoring screen.
To reset to default settings, click the Reset Defaults button. To refresh the page, click the Refresh button. To save
the settings, click the Save button.
Using Face Detection
1. In the Smart Plan menu, click on Face Detection. Click Save.
2. Click Enable to enable face detection.
3. Click on the Clear Counting checkbox to allow the number of faces detected to be displayed.
4. Click Setup to set a face detection schedule. Set your periods (if any) and click Save to continue.
