  • Page 4 Preparation To complete the installation you will need: Flathead Screwdriver Tape measure or ruler Phillips Screwdriver Optional Screwdriver with drill bits Pliers Drilling maybe required to install this lock. If you are installing your lock on a brand new door, a drill is required if there are no holes prepared for lock installation.

  • Page 22 Step 7 INSTALLING INTERIOR SIDE OF LOCK continued Insert 4 AA batteries into the lock by aligning the positive (+) and negative (-) orientation markings on the batteries to the battery chamber. Secure the battery by sliding the cover over the lock and turning the screw clockwise on top until tight.
  • Page 23 Step 8 INSTALLING THE DOOR STRIKE It is recommended that you use the included strike plate. However, if you find the deadbolt and latchbolt works with your existing strike plate free of any binding or resistance you can use use it. Regardless of which strike plate used, deadbolt and latchbolt needs to operate smoothly, free of any binding or resistance.
