Inserting and Removing Cassettes
Before inserting a cassette, turn the tape wheel on the side of the
cassette in the direction shown to remove any slack in the tape.

Caution: Insert the cassette only one way with the tape
wheel facing up and the tape window facing out. The
cassette should slide easily into the compartment. Do
not force the cassette.
3. Close the cassette compartment door by pressing on the area
of the cassette compartment door labeled PUSH until it locks
into place.
Cassette Care and Storage
Follow these directions for continued high-quality performance
from your cassettes.
When you are finished with a cassette, rewind it, and

remove it from the camcorder.
Label your cassettes before storing them.

Store cassettes vertically in their protective boxes at normal
l
room temperatures. Excessive heat or cold may damage your
cassettes.
Do not use cassettes with damaged or spliced tape.

Keep dust from entering the cassette compartment. All dust is
l
abrasive and'will cause excessive wear on the tape and the
camcorder's recording/playback heads.
Keep the cassette away from strong magnetic fields such as
l
electric motors and other devices.
Do not use a cassette if it has been damaged or exposed to
l
moisture. The tape may jam or damage your camcorder.
