Auto Focus

Whenever y ot.t turn the camcorder on to record (CAMERA/PLAY
MODE contra panel in CAMERA position), the full-auto feature
I
is automatically
turned ,on. The camcorder will focus for you
automatically. 1 No display appears in the viewfinder.
Note:
The cam b order uses a small zone around the center of the
viewfinder to d tect focus. Center the object that you want the
camcorder to f
us on in the viewfinder. This zone may vary depending
on the zooming and focusing conditions. No zone indicators appear in
the
viewfinder.

viewfinder.
When recording subjects with shiny surfaces.

When recording flat subjects

When recording in low-light situations.

When recording a scene with fast motions, like a tennis swing.

When recording a subject with small patterns that are repeated.

Macro Focus

To

1. Press the power zoom button labeled "w" until the lens is
completely zoomed out.
2. Position the subject or scene in the center of the viewfinder.

For best results, increase illumination when recording in the
macro
mode.
