Checks and Adjustments
If using battery, it may need to be recharged.
l
If using AC adapter/charger, make sure it is plugged into a working outlet.
l
If using AC adapter/charger, make sure it is plugged into a working outlet.

If DEW indicator appears in the electronic viewfinder, there is moisture in the camcorder.
l
Wait for DEW indicator to disappear from the viewfinder before operating the camcorder.
There may be no cassette in the camcorder.

Try ejecting and re-inserting cassette.

The cassette tape may be broken, try another cassette.
l
You may have reached the end of the cassette, try rewinding it.
l
CAMERA/PLAY MODE control panel must bain PLAY MODE position.

Record-protect (safety) tab has been removed. (See puge 9.)

Remove lens cap.

Tape-counter memory-stop feature may be on. Whenever an "M' appears with the tape-

counter display, the camcorder will stop rewinding (or fast forwarding) when counter reads
MEMORY button to turn off memory-stop feature.
Press PLAY button to return to normal playback.

Make sure full-auto feature is turned on (indicator light on above FULL AUTO button).

Make sure operator is not covering the lens during recording.
l
Subject is dark or behind glass. Auto-focus may not work under these conditions.

Simultaneously press the FOCUS MAN/AUTO NEAR and FAR buttons to turn on manual
focus. Then press either the NEAR or FAR button to focus manually.
Lens is smudged, and image appears unfocused.

Viewfinder eyepiece focus is misadjusted. (See page 14.)
