During playback, press and release the
REW (rewind) button if you want to visually search the tape
in forward or reverse. Press the PLAY button to return to
normal playback.
For brief searching, press and hold the FF
more than two seconds. Release the button to return to
normal playback.
5. Press the STOP button on the camcorder when you are
finished.
Note: If there are streaks in the playback picture, press either
TRACKING
button to move the streaks up or down and out of the
picture. Simultaneously press both
tracking to its preset center.
Viewing What the Camcorder Is Recording
Turn on the TV and
tune it to channel 3 or 4 (whichever is not
an active channel in your area). When the camcorder is used
as a camera, turn the TV's volume down to prevent a high-
pitched squeal
caused by feedback.
Set the CH3KH4 switch on the adapter to the same channel
you selected on the TV.
Place the VIDEO/TV switch in the VIDEO position.
Slide the POWER switch to turn on the camcorder and insert
the cassette you want to record on. Make sure the
CAMERA/PLAY MODE control panel is in the CAMERA
position. Press the thumb trigger to start recording. You can
watch what you are recording on the TV screen.

Normal TV Viewing

For normal TV viewing, you may leave the RF output adapter
hooked up to the TV. Just place the adapter's VIDEO/TV switch
in the 7'V position.
Note to Cable TV Installer
This reminder is provided to call your attention to Article 820-22 of the
National Electrical Code (Section 54 of Canadian Electrical Code,
Part I), that provides guidelines for proper grounding and, in particular,
specifies that the cable ground shall be connected to the grounding
system of the building as close to the point of cable entry as practical.
