SECTION 2 – Engine Identification
The engine serial number can be found engraved into the brass plate on the top of the engine
rocker cover and stamped to the crankcase next to the starter motor. The Canal Boat Engines
(CB) do not have identification initials on the engraved plate.
An example of the engine identification plate is shown below (Figure 1):
