Character Font Selection

The printer can print several different character sets (fonts). By performing a
printer self-test, you can see which fonts are installed in your printer. You may
specify any of these fonts from an application. On the self-test printout, each
available character font is printed along with a parameter number to the left of
the printed font.
Note
Many earlier models of HP printers could not select certain combinations of
character sets. Your new P5000LJ printer does not have this limitation.
The new P5000LJ printer produces different characters than the previous
models, and your application may be requesting the old character set. You
will need to modify your application's settings to prevent it from selecting
the old character set.
