Naked flames, sparks and
smoking are prohibited. Avoid
sparks when working with wires
and electrical equipment. Do not
connect the battery poles. The
resulting short circuit will produce
sparks and could cause injury.
The electronic ignition system
works with high voltage. Never
touch these components with the
engine running or the ignition
switched on.
Maintenance
The battery requires very little
maintenance. The fluid level is
checked during the routine service
inspections.
Ignition warning light
If the Ignition warning light
illuminates whilst driving, switch off
all unnecessary electrical
equipment and drive immediately
to the nearest expert. Ford
authorized repairers are
recommended.

Note: If the battery voltage is too
high or too low due to a failure, the
Ignition warning light will illuminate
and the heated rear screen, or the
air conditioning may switch on or
off automatically. If this happens,
you will not be able to switch them
on or off manually.
