7-6. Changing Engine Oil and Filter

Y Stop engine and let it cool down.
1 Oil Fill Cap
2 Dipstick
Remove oil fill cap and dipstick.
3 Oil Filter
4 Oil Drain Plug

Place drain pan under drain plug. Remove
plug and drain oil (see Engine Manual for
complete procedure).
Remove and discard oil filter.
Install new filter according to instructions
supplied with it.
Reinstall drain plug.

Fill crankcase with new oil up to full mark on
dipstick (see Maintenance label for oil
specifications). Follow complete procedure
in Engine Manual.
Reinstall fill cap and dipstick.
Dispose of old oil and filter in an environ-
mentally safe manner.
