8.0 Maintenance

To ensure proper machine operation, it is recommended that the prismatic guides and ro lled
ballscrews on all axes are kept clean regularly wiped down with a light machine oil lubricant (such
as 3-IN-ONE oil).
8.1

Routine Checks (performed daily with machine use)

1. Wipe the ballscrews and prismatic guides clean and dust f ree.
2. Apply light machine oil to ballscrews and prismatic guides using a clean cloth. Move the
machine through travel limits to properly disperse lubricant.
3. Check cutting tool edges f or chips and/or dullness.
4. Generally, inspect the machine f or any damage.
5. Ensure that slots in the collets are f ree of sawdust and debris.
6. Check coolant levels in reservoir.
7. Verif y that the dust extractor is f ree of blockages.
8. Check that all electrical connectors are f itted correctly and are not loose.
