5.1 Checking the Performance and Specifications

Start the pump to fill each flow path in the pump and
autosampler with liquid.

After the mobile phase has reached the injection valve of
autosampler, turn on the autosampler power supply. If the
injection valve is switched over when no liquid is in it, the
valve seal may be damaged. To prevent this, be sure to start
the pump earlier.
The autosampler will go through the initialization sequence,
and then the initial screen will appear.

Execute the wash pump purging of the autosampler by using
data processing software. For detailed operational
information of data processing software, refer to the
instruction manual attached to it.
Fill the flow path to the syringe valve with the wash fluid by
the wash pump purging. Then, make sure that there are no
air bubbles in the pipe from the wash pump to the syringe
valve. (When two wash fluids are used, replace the wash
fluid2 side with fresh one).

Execute the syringe purging of the autosampler to fill the
syringe with wash fluid by using data processing software.
Then, make sure that there are no air bubbles in the syringe
and port4 of the syringe valve discharges waste solution.
(10) Execute the needle washing of the autosampler to fill the
needle and the injection port with wash fluid1 by using data
processing software.
Then, make sure that the detergent flows normally, there are
no leaks and the waste solution runs into the waste solution
bottle.
(When two wash fluids are used, replace the wash fluid2 side
with fresh one).
(11) Execute the rinse port washing to fill the rinse port with wash
fluid1.
Then, make sure that the detergent flows normally, there are
no leaks and the waste solution runs into the waste solution
bottle.
