Turn OFF each UPS one by one (by pressing OFF button) and after all of them transfer to Bypass mode, turn
"ON" the external Output circuit breaker of each unit.

Turn ON the UPS one by one (by pressing ON button).

8.8.2 Add one new unit into the Parallel System

The steps for correct operation are explained below.
1.
You can not add one new unit into the Parallel System when whole System is running. You must cut off the
load and shutdown the System.
2.
Make sure the new unit is a Parallel model, and install the new unit following the instruction of the previous
section.

8.8.3 Remove one unit from the Parallel System

The steps for correct operation are explained below. Note: this procedure permits to remove one UPS without
interruption of Output power
You can not remove one unit of the Parallel System when whole System is running in Normal mode.
1.
Turn OFF the unit (by pressing OFF button for more than 0,5 second). Then the UPS will enter in Bypass mode
or No-Output mode without output.
2.
Turn off the output breaker of this unit, then turn off the input breaker of this unit.
3.
After it shuts down, you can turn off the Battery Box Breaker (only if there is an external Battery Box).
4.
Remove the parallel and shared current cables.
5.
Then remove the unit from the Parallel System.

Communication Interfaces

The UPS is factory-equipped with RS232 and USB Communication Interfaces. On the UPS rear side there are the
connections of the Interfaces.
Only one of the RS232/USB communications can be activated at one time. To activate RS232 communication it is
sufficient to connect the RS232 cable only; to activate USB communication it is sufficient to connect the USB cable
only.
Connecting to the Web site www.tecnoware.com it is possible to download free of charge the updated UPS
Management Software.
It is possible to use a SNMP (Single Network Management Protocol) Interface to connect the UPS to a LAN (Local
Area Network). The SNMP interface is optional.
We advise you to follow the steps below explained to install the interface correctly:
1.
Remove the metallic panel (#6, figure 4) that covers the slot for SNMP interface.
2.
Put the SNMP Interface into the slot and fix it with screws.
3.
Connect the LAN cable to SNMP interface and follow the included instruction to make the interface working
well.
