7. Click on the serial number of the device to open its characteristics.
8. Click on "Settings" and scroll down to "Policy Settings"
9. Policy Enable Bump" and "Policy Enable Calibration" can be enabled or disabled from this
screen. "Policy Bypass Bump" and "Policy Bypass Calibration" can also be activated or
deactivated from this screen.
Must Calibrate. The user is prompted to calibrate the instrument when calibration is due
(as set by the calibration interval). There are two programmable options:
Can't Bypass. Unless calibration is performed and passed, the instrument cannot be
l
used, and the only option is to turn off the instrument.
Can Bypass. If calibration is due but the user does not want to perform a calibration, the
l
instrument can still be used. In this case, the instrument records that the user has
bypassed the calibration requirement in a Policy Violation report.
Must Bump. The user is prompted to bump test the instrument when a bump test is due (as
set by the bump test interval). There are two programmable options:
Can't Bypass. Unless a bump test is performed and passed, the instrument cannot be

used, and the only option is to turn off the instrument.
Can Bypass. If a bump test is due but the user does not want to perform one, the

instrument can still be used. In this case, the instrument records that the user has
bypassed the bump testing requirement in a Policy Violation report.
