3.3 Installation of Ground Sensor (Three-Core Cables)

Before installing the sensors on the underground cables, disconnect the power to all the cables, depending
upon the cable mount type.
To install the Three-core cable ground sensor, follow the procedure:
Loosen the fixing bolt and unmount the belt from one side of the housing. For more information about

mounting of ground sensor on shielded cable, refer to 3.6 Mounting of the Ground Sensor on a Shielded
Cable.
Place the belt around the Three-core cables.

Connect the ground-sensor housing with the belt. Insert the belt up to the stopper and tighten the fixing

bolt.
Fix the sensor in the right position using the provided plastic cable tie.

Loosen the glands in the device and insert the electrical cable from the ground sensor. Connect the

sensor output cables (red and black) to the respective sensor input terminals (S1 and S2) which is
displayed on PCBA. The red color cable is to be connected to S1 terminal and black color cable to S2
terminal respectively.
