This course helps aged rice and hard rice to soak up more water when cooking.
When you want to eat fragrant okoge (slightly browned and crispy) style rice*
* The rice on the bottom of the pot turns golden brown. The color of the okoge varies
slightly depending on the quality of the rice, how it was washed, and the amount of
water it was cooked in. If the okoge is too pale, add 1 teaspoon of sake to every cup of
rice to make it easier for the rice to make okoge.
The taste is preserved, but the amount of energy consumed when
cooking rice is reduced.
In eco mode the vacuum pump does not operate, and no vacuum is created.
