Sprocket
Examine the sprocket for signs of wear. If the wear is significant, replace it. Do
not install a chain over a worn or damaged sprocket. Do not install a worn chain
on a sprocket.
Chain
Each time, check that the cutter and the cutting angles match the diagram
below.
Chain sharpening
CAUTION: Wear protective gloves while sharpening the chain.
For optimum performance, we strongly recommend that you sharpen the chain
regularly.
You can hire a professional to sharpen the chain, or you can do it yourself if you
have enough experience and the right tools.
The chain must be sharpened when:
The wood chips turn to powder
