Scanning to a Web Browser

AXIS 700 User's Manual
Scan-to-file will typically be used when software takes care of the
scanned information once stored. Software that applies are, e.g. batch
OCR processing, document management systems and user-written
daemons.
In operating systems like Windows 95 and Windows NT, you can
create a shortcut to the folder where the images are stored. The
shortcut can then be placed on the user's desktop, that way giving easy
access to scanned information. The administrator may select to give
each user their own folder on a server where they can place
information.
Follow these steps to scan to your Web browser:
1. Start the Web browser.
2. Enter the host name or Internet address of the AXIS 700 on the
Location/Address line and press Enter. We recommend that you add
the address as a bookmark, or as a link on the department's or
workgroup's Web page.
