ActiveScale™ OS X100 Rackless Installation Guide
1. Remove the I/O module from the box and unpack hardware contained within the packaging.
2. Verify that serial number on the I/O module matches the rack serial number.
3. On the I/O module, open the latch handle.
4. With your palms facing up, position your hands so that your thumbs are on the outside and your
fingers cradle the bottom and rear of either side of the I/O module.
Warning: The I/O module is very top-heavy. Ensure that you are fully
supporting the component during the removal and insertion.
5. From the front of the chassis, set the I/O module on the chassis in alignment with the front of the
sleds.
Note: Ensure the latch handle is pulled out and away from the I/O module. This
is the unlocked position.
