1. Verify that the rack serial number is correct on the sled.
2. Identify the sled to insert. Begin with the sled labeled A.
3. Verify the Storage Enclosure Basic number on the sled label matches the chassis number and rack
position.
4. Remove the red protective cap and inspect both ends of the sled for any visible connector damage.
5. Line up the sled with its corresponding letter on the chassis. Rest the sled on the front part of the
chassis so the sled is level and flat on the floor of the chassis. Do not tip the sled up or down to insert
it.
