Management Interconnect 1.9kg/4.14lbs. 2.3 PDU requirements for rackless systems PDUs are not supplied for the rackless version of ActiveScale X100. Follow these PDU requirements to ensure that the system will function as designed. This section provides information that is necessary in making the determination about selecting a PDU that will effectively and safely support the power consumption of the system.
  • Page 16: Mechanical Requirements

2.3.2 Mechanical requirements Redundancy The PDUs selected must have at least 35 receptacles available for ActiveScale X100 components. Preferably, these would be split into two, redundant, PDUs, to protect the system from PDU or power failure. Each component would have one connection to each PDU.

System Mounting Requirements Can be mounted in the rear of the rack and be contained fully within the outer dimensions of the rack except for the input power cord. Neither the PDU nor its mounting hardware will interfere with servicing FRUs in the rack.
  • Page 18: Monitoring

PDU monitoring is a requirement in your environment. Local Monitoring The monitoring requirement is optional. However, Quantum Corporation recommends that each PDU shall include local (on board) indicators of the status of each branch circuit. These will show the following information: Branch Circuit Protection Device State:Closed circuit: Open circuit.
