Miscellaneous system faults
Engine performance can be affected. Several possible causes of engine problems are described below.
Battery voltage incorrect
Check belt tension. Refer to Drive belt, check and change.
Check battery fluid level. Refer to Battery, page 92.
Fuel pressure incorrect.
Engine performance can be affected.
Communication failure
Gear automatically set to neutral. Engine performance can be affected.
Oil pressure too low.
Engine power is reduced.
Check the oil level in the engine. Refer to Oil level, checking and topping up, page 68.
Check that no leakage occurs.
Wrn Derate Alarm
Engine performance can be affected. The engine's power gradually decreases with the severity of the engine's
problem. Soft derate. Several possible causes of engine problems are described below.
Coolant pressure too low.
Coolant temperature too high.
Charge air temperature too high.
High charge air pressure.
Exhaust temperature too high after Turbo charger.
Exhaust temperature too high before SCR muffler/catalyst.
Wet Exhaust temperature is too high.
Oil pressure too low.
Engine oil temperature too high.
Sea water pressure low. The engine will not derate just for this single symptom.
Wrn Underspeed
Engine Speed.
Engine is emergency stopped.
Engine revolutions are lower than expected.
MIL: CANSensor
Urea quality sensor power supply failure.
MIL: DEFQlty
Low Urea Quality or electrical failure.
MIL: DEFLevel
Low level in Urea tank or electrical failure at sensor.
