Installation Instructions
WARNING!
•
Excessive Weight Hazard: It is recommended to have 2 or more persons to move and install this
product. Failure to do so can result in back or other injury.
•
During handling and transportation, always hold the product by the handle on the back panel, and
maintain the unit in its upright position at all times.
•
DO NOT move the product by gripping its louvres.
•
Before moving or transporting this product, drain off the water in the unit completely to prevent
water leakage wetting the floor or carpet.
Before Installation
1.
This product must be placed on a firm foundation to minimize noise and vibration. For safe and
secure positioning, place this product on a smooth and level floor strong enough to support this
product.
2.
This product has casters to aid moving it around, but it must only be rolled on smooth flat surfaces.
Use caution when rolling on carpeted surfaces and hardwood floors. DO NOT roll this product over
objects.
3.
This product must be placed within reach of a properly rated grounded socket.
WARNING!
Electric Shock Hazard: This product must be plugged into a grounded 3-pin outlet; DO NOT pull on the
cord to unplug the plug; DO NOT use an adaptor, DO NOT use with extension cord. Failure to do so can
result in death, fire or electric shock.

DO NOT place any obstacles around the air inlet or outlet of this product.
5.
The exhaust hose can be extended, but it is optimized when the hose is at its minimum length.
Also make sure the hose does not have any sharp bends or sags.
6.
The window adaptor kit is designed to fit most standard vertical and horizontal sliding window
applications. However, it may be necessary to modify some aspects of the installation procedures
for certain types of windows.
A. Remove Packing Materials
1.
Remove all packing materials before using product for the first time.
2.
It is recommended to save the carton box and styrofoam packing for storing the product when not
in use.
Note:
•
The are NO packing materials inside the product to remove. DO NOT disassemble the product
body.
•
Properly dispose/recycle all packing materials.
•
Handle the product gently, and keep it upright and level at all times. DO NOT set this product on
its side, front, back or upside down.
