Engine Detail

NOTE: Disconnect the spark plug lead and ensure that
the fuel valve is in the OFF position before performing
any maintenance procedures.
WARNING: Improper maintenance, use of non-
conforming replacement components, or the removal
or modification of the engine may cause serious injury
or death.
(Refer to fig.5)

Filling the Engine with Oil

IMPORTANT: Your mower does not come with oil in
the engine. Before starting the engine, fill the engine
with oil.
1. Move the mower to a level surface.
2. Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick (1).
3. Add the recommended oil to the upper limit on the
dipstick.
4. Insert the dipstick but do not tighten the cap.
5. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level. Check
that the oil level is at the top of the upper limit (2)
on the dipstick.

6. Insert the dipstick and tighten the cap securely.
(Refer fig.6)
IMPORTANT: Running the engine with a low oil level
can cause engine damage. This type of damage is not
covered under the engine warranty.
