Changing the Engine Oil

NOTE: Run the engine a few minutes to warm the
oil before changing it. Warm oil drains quickly and
completely.
Refer to Setup - Engine Oil Specifications to ensure
you are using the correct grade of oil.
1. Move the mower to a level surface.
2. Shut off the engine and wait for all moving parts to
stop.
3. Turn the fuel valve to the OFF position to reduce
the possibility of fuel leakage.
4. Remove the oil filler cap and drain the oil into
a suitable container by inclining the mower (1)
toward the oil filler neck.
(Refer to fig.30)
5. Refill with the recommended oil. Check that the oil
level is at the top of the upper limit on the dipstick
(2).
(Refer to fig.30)
IMPORTANT: Running the engine with a low oil level
can cause engine damage. This type of damage is not
covered under the engine warranty.
