AL3PS+EL3
AL3PS+EL3 with conductive 3-rod electrode probe:
Attach the electrode probe so that switch-on and switch-
off points for the pump are reliably detected. The swit-
ching points on/off are set by shortening the electrodes
(2) and (1) (see description EL3).
The electrode (3) serves as a reference electrode. No
further electrode is required for the alarm message. The
signal is delayed with the immersion of the electrode (2).
Also ensure that the switch-off level for the pump is above
the pump chamber so that the pump is protected against
dry running.
AL3PS+EL3-PUKIT with 3-rod electrode probe as moun-
ting part for pumps: Attach the EL3-PUKIT to the pump
according to instructions. Make sure that the switch-off
level for the pump is above the pump chamber so that the
pump is protected against dry running.

7.1. Assembly on the pump

Find the corresponding drawing for your pump type in the
appendix. Here you can see the order in which the compo-
nents must be mounted on the pump
In the first step, complete the holder with the alarm pump
switchgear.
To do this, they put the washers on the screws. Then they
screw the screws with the alarm- and pump switchgear
to the holder.
In the second step, screw the double nipple onto the pres-
sure outlet of the pump. This step is not necessary for all
pumps and can be checked against the drawing.
Now place the centering ring over the double nipple or the
pressure outlet of the pump.
Next, the pre-assembled holder is placed over the cen-
tering ring. Then they place the non-return valve on the
holder and screw the double socket tight.

8. Commissioning and operation

Connect the AL3PS to the mains electricity. When the LED
illuminates, the equipment is operational.
The device has 2 inputs which can be assigned with dif-
ferent functions.
For level detection, either
2 float switches or
3 conductive electrodes
can be connected.
Function 1:
Connecting 2 float switches
(AL3PS+2SW)
Jumper:
Input 1 (E1):
The connected float switch switches the pump on and off.
Connection of the float switch to terminal E1 and COM
Input 2 (E2):
Float switch signals a high water alarm.
Connection of the float switch to terminal E2 and COM
Alarm relay and beeper signal on/off with interval tone.
If the input is no longer occupied, the alarm relay and
beeper switch off. The beeper can be acknowledged by
pressing the button (> 0.5 seconds) during a flood.
The alarm relay remains energized until the water level
falls below the high water level (input 2 is no longer assi-
gned). When a new high water level is detected, both the
alarm relay and the beeper switch on again.
Function 2:
Connecting 3 electrodes
(AL3PS+EL3)
Jumper (alarm delay 5 minutes):
Jumper (alarm delay 1 minutes):
For setting the switch-on and switch-off points, see de-
scription EL3.
COM:
Reference electrode (3)
