6 Pole Mounting
This pole mounting process requires no tool, except a key (for unlocking the lock if needed), providing the pole has
already been cut out as required.
Refer to Appendix C for the cut-out required on the mounting pole. This includes a cut-out for the cables and a cut-
out for the locating pin.
6.1 Adept Validator Positioning
When positioning an Adept Validator within a vehicle cabin, the following provisions should be used as a guideline:
•
Metal objects are to be located greater than 200 mm from target area, specifically adjacent to it to prevent
antenna de-tuning & card reading range reduction. The metal pole where the cradle is attached has no
detrimental impact on the card reading range as there is sufficient clearance between the pole and the
antenna.
•
The Adept Validator should be located within easy reach of patrons as shown in Figure 13.
•
The preferred Compact Validator pole mounting bracing is shown in Figure 14.
