Reporting Safety Defects
Vehicles domiciled in the USA thought to have a
defect that could cause a crash, injury, or death,
should immediately be reported to the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
and Daimler Truck North America LLC.
If the NHTSA receives similar complaints, it may
open an investigation; if it finds that a safety
defect exists in a group of vehicles, it may order a
recall and remedy campaign. However, NHTSA
