3. Operation of Differential Lock

WARNING For injury accident prevention
- Do not use the differential lock when
loading/unloading to a vehicle and
traveling. Also, make sure that the
differential lock is unlocked. If the
differential lock is used, the tractor
goes only straight forward even if the
steering wheel is turned. If turned when
the differential lock is engaged, it may
cause an unexpected accident.
If either side of tire slips and the tractor does not
go forward or reverse, step on the differential
lock pedal. When pressing the pedal, the
actuator is locked, and the rear wheels of both
left and right sides are set to the same rotation.
Differential lock is effective in the following
cases;
- Soft soil field
- Plowing

When releasing the pedal, the differential lock is
unlocked.
It is effective to use when one wheel skids and it
is hard to drive e.g. escaping from bog or mud.
It is effective if used correctly; however, it can
cause an accident or damage if used incorrectly.
NOTE
- Before setting the differential lock <ON>,
lower the engine revolution.
- When the revolution difference between both
wheels is large, step on the clutch pedal
once and operate.
- When it is difficult to unlock, step on the
clutch pedal or step on the brake pedals
slightly in turn.
- Do not use the differential lock at super low
speed.

4. Turning in Farm Field

- Do not work on steep slope.

When the tractor is turned on steep
slope, it may cause an accident by
falling over.
Remove the clip of the brake pedals and use
them independently for a smaller turn in farm
field. In such a case, step on the brake on the
side of turning.
Take the operating speed and grade of slope in
the field into consideration and check the
surrounding condition before starting the work.
