Installing the Antifreeze Line
The antifreeze sample line provides trace heating to prevent moisture in the sample
from freezing and causing a blockage in cold ambient temperatures. It includes two
1/4" tubes, one for sample and one for calibration gas.
The sample line must be installed and terminated in accordance with the
instructions from the sample line manufacturer. In most cases, the powered
(analyzer) end is terminated by the manufacturer but the unpowered (probe) end
must be cut to length and terminated by the installer. Any unheated tubing, such as
that between the probe and the blowback box, should be kept as short as possible
and must be lagged to minimize the risk of freezing.
Heat-shrink boots are provided to seal the sample line entries into the analyzer and
blowback box.
