Fast Link is a fast synchronous communication bus that can exchange data among 16 participants, one of which is defined as master. The optional EXP-FL-XCAN-ADV Fast Link card is the communication interface for ADV200. See the specific manual for information on installing and parameterizing the optional card.

The generated speed profile is trapezoidal. Transmission of the virtual encoder data to the slaves in the chain passes through the ADV200 drive PAD functions. PADs are general-use variables that are used for data exchange among the components of a Bus system, and can therefore be compared to PLC variables.
