Filter Maintenance Indicator
The FILTER 2 and FILTER 4 lights will turn green in about 3 months to indicate that that
the Bio-Guard filters SHOULD be cleaned to maintain optimal performance (NuWave
Recommendation). When either light turns red (after about 6 months), that Bio-Guard fil-
ter MUST be cleaned. Once cleaned, press and hold TIMER until a beep is heard to reset
the Clean Filter 2 indicator. To reset the Clean Filter 4 light, press and hold TURBO until a
beep is heard. Once the Clean Filter lights are reset, they will go out.
The Stainless-Steel Prefilter (Filter 1)
The Prefilters need to be cleaned at least once every two months, depending on use.
Cleaning the Dust Sensor
The Dust Sensor is located on the back of the unit.
1. Open the Dust Sensor Cover.
2. Using a dry cotton swab or small, soft brush, gently remove any dirt or dust from the
Dust Sensor.
3. For more buildup on the Dust Sensor, wipe it with a slightly wet cotton swab.
4. Remove any moisture with a dry cotton swab.
• The Dust Sensor requires regular cleaning (approximately every 3
months) for the unit to operate efficiently.
• If your OxyPure is set up in an area with high dust accumulation,
more frequent cleaning of the Dust Sensor is needed.
• Do not use the cotton swab on any part or area other than the Dust Sensor.
Cleaning the Odor Sensor
The Odor Sensor is behind the three slots above the Dust Sensor Cover and may ONLY
be cleaned using a brush-tipped vacuum.
The Bio-Guard and Bio-Guard 360 Filters (Filters 2 & 4)
1. Remove the filters and immerse them in water.
2. Spray the filters with a mild detergent and let them sit for 2 – 3 minutes.
3. Submerge the filters in warm water, shake, and remove. If you cannot fully submerge
the Bio-Guard
4. Repeat this process until the filters are clean.
5. Rinse the filters with warm water (see 3 above).
6. Dry the filters completely, out of direct sunlight, before use.
Notes:
• Immerse the filters in water immediately to eliminate the chance of any
contaminants being released into the air.
Wash and rinse as directed, but only long enough to clean the filter.

After rinsing, shake the water out the filter to help dry the filter's internal electrical

components.
