INSTALLATION

Installing batteries

  1. Open the Battery Compartment door on the rear of the unit by lifting the tab and then pulling the battery compartment outwards.
  2. Insert three (3) AA/UM-3/R6 batteries into the Battery Compartment. Be sure to observe the polarity markings which engraved inside the battery compartment. Alkaline batteries are recommended for the longest playing time.
  3. Close the battery compartment door and snap the tab back in place.

When the batteries are low, the Low Battery indicator will blink three times rapidly with a triple beep every minute. The unit will turn off automatically when the battery is too low to operate the unit.

Notes on batteries (not supplied)

  • Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with new ones.
  • Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
  • Do not throw batteries in fire!
  • Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
  • In order to avoid leakage, remove the batteries when unit will not be used for a long period of time.
  • Please respect the environment. Before throwing any batteries away, consult your distributor who may be able to take them back for specific recycling.


Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Speaker placement
This speaker is supplied with a strap to hang the speaker from the shower pipe, faucet, or a hook on the back of the bathroom door.

DO NOT HANG THE SPEAKER FROM A SHOWER PIPE THAT IS SLOPING DOWNWARD. THE SPEAKER COULD SLIDE FORWARD AND FALL OFF THE PIPE, RESULTING IN PERSONAL INJURY, DAMAGE TO THE SPEAKER, OR BOTH. IF YOU USE THE STRAP TO HANG THE SPEAKER MAKE SURE THAT IT IS IN A SECURE LOCATION AND THAT IT WILL NOT MOVE.

Note: Although this speaker is water resistant it should not be placed in the direct path of the shower stream.

Pairing a Bluetooth Device

  1. Press to turn on the unit, the Bluetooth indicator will start blinking rapidly to indicate it is in Pairing mode.
  2. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select «M-320BT» from the Device List. (Refer to the user manual of the device to be connected for detailed operations.) If the Bluetooth device prompts for a passcode, use"0000". Some Bluetooth devices will ask you to accept the connection.
    Tip: If you want to connect your Bluetooth speaker to another Bluetooth audio device, you need to disconnect current device first and follow the steps above to make a new connection.
  3. If the pairing fails, perform the following:
    Press and hold the button until the Bluetooth indicator blinks quickly to enter the Pairing mode. On the Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and select «M-320BT» from the Device List (see step 2 above).
  • On some devices such as computers, once paired you must select the unit from the Bluetooth menu and choose "Use as Audio Device (stereo)" or similar.
  • Pairing remains intact when the unit and/or your Bluetooth device is taken out of communication range. An active connection will be re-established when your Bluetooth device returns within range.

Using a Bluetooth Device

  1. Press to turn on the unit. With a unit paired (see previous section), operate your Bluetooth device and its sound will be heard through the M-320BT's speakers.
  2. Press the button to pause playback. Press again to resume playback.
  3. Adjust the volume using the Volume buttons. You can also adjust the volume on the device to which you are paired.

Receiving/Dialing a Phone Call
This unit is equipped with a built-in microphone (located on the front panel above the indicators), which allows you to make or end calls of a connected mobile phone through this unit. Make sure your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone is paired with the unit. When there is an incoming call to the connected mobile phone, you will hear an incoming call alert tone from the unit.

  1. Press the button to answer the incoming call.
  2. Press the button again to end call.
  3. To reject the incoming call, press and hold the button.
  4. To transfer the sound between the mobile phone and the unit, press and hold the button during a call.
  5. To redial the last number retained in the memory of the mobile phone, press the button twice.

Notes:

  • Re-dialing function is unavailable if there is no dial record feature in your mobile phone.
  • This unit will not operate or may operate improperly with some Bluetooth mobile phones/audio players.
  • If the conversation is not clear, try to move closer to the microphone (located on the front panel above the indicators).

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Should this unit exhibit a problem, check the following before seeking service:

No Power

  • Power is not on; press to turn on the unit.
  • Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly.

No Sound – General

  • External device's volume is set to minimum; raise volume.
  • The M-320BT's volume is set to minimum; raise volume.

The Bluetooth device cannot pair or connect with the unit.

  • You have not activated the Bluetooth function of your device. Refer to the user manual of your device to activate Bluetooth function.
  • The unit is not in pairing mode. Press and hold the button until the Bluetooth indicator blinks fast.
  • The unit is already connected with another Bluetooth device; disconnect that device and then try again.

Unit acts erratically or does not react when buttons pressed.

  • Remove batteries, wait 20 seconds. Re-insert batteries and turn the unit on again.

  • Ensure a minimum distance of 5cm around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation.
  • Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the apparatus.
  • The marking plate is located on the bottom of unit.
  • Under the influence of electrical fast transient or/and electrostatic phenomenon, the product may malfunction and require user to power reset.
