Can't connect to the PC via the network after powering
everything up.
The Laser LED is red, and the power number is below 2,
but the Lidar seems to be working fine.
When starting the software, a message 'No ATS card
found' is displayed, and the software stops.
disconnected. Make sure that your keyboard is a
simple USB type – with no hub or anything else
that needs a driver installing to work. Try pressing
the [Ctrl][Alt] and [F1] keys.
If no picture is displayed still, then you must make
sure that there are no user accounts set up, that
need to be selected requiring a password at
startup. The operating system must be allowed to
go straight into Windows after booting –
otherwise the remote access software won't run
at startup, and troubleshooting will be made
extremely difficult.
The only option is to boot into safe mode with
networking enabled. Press F8 when the PC boots
– and choose the Safe mode with networking.
The video output should be enabled. Check all
network settings to make sure that they are what
they were set up as originally, get rid of user
accounts and check video settings.
Attach a monitor to see if there is a video output.
Check to see if one of the green LEDs on the
connector panel is flashing – at ~1Hz. If it is, then
this means that the PC is on and booted.
If there is no flashing LED, press the PC power
button on the connector panel and wait for 60
seconds or so.
If the LED is flashing, then check your network
settings, and if correct, try a 'repair connection',
or the Lidar firewall might need to be turned off if
the connecting PC is running Win7.
If the RJ45-BB is also connected to a hub, and
the PC is visible on the Internet, then it may not
be possible to also connect using the crossover
connection.
It is possible to continue the software even if the
Laser LED is red. If there is a genuine problem
with the laser, then the Power LED will also be
red, and the software will stop.
This may happen after the Lidar PC has been re
booted, or the Lidar software has not been
shutdown properly.
The PC will need a power cycle – a reboot won't
fix the issue.
Assuming that you are with the Lidar: Run the
shutdown module, and choose to include the PC
with the power off. After the PC has gone off,
press the external PC button to power it back up
– there's no need to completely cycle the power
to the whole Lidar – which will invoke the start up
time delay.
If you are controlling the Lidar remotely, then it
will still need to be powered off – but there will be
no way to physically turn it back on. The PC is set
to come on each day at 12:20 PM (GMT) if it is
off but has power.
