The Gate length is shown in data points. The default is 10 (for a 50MHz sample rate), but this can be changed.
Increasing the gate length will increase the spectral resolution to the detriment of the range resolution.
Choose the number of Averages for each ray. The minimum is 1500 and the maximum is 15000. If more averages
are required, then a multiplier of the Averages number can be specified in the scan schedule software Rays/pnt
control.
The Power-cut shutdown control system status is shown. The Stream Line Lidar has a power supply module with the
necessary circuitry to enable the shutdown feature, so this should always be displayed and have a green LED
illuminated. If it is not shown, it may mean there is a fault with the power supply module.
The Campaign ID can be filled in with a short description of the current measurement campaign. Some system data is
saved to the campaign log as shown below:

Each time the software is started, another set of parameters are saved to the campaign file.
Lat, Long and Height (highlighted above) are only saved if a GPS option is installed.
The De-pol switch (if the optional depolarisation channel is fitted) will cause the de-polarisation toggle to activate
when the system is in stare mode – i.e. during the Stare scan. Data from the cross-polarisation will be stored in
separate files in the 'cross' directory within the 'proc' and 'raw' data directories.
Hourly GPS time sync. can be selected if your system has a GPS unit fitted. This is useful in situations where the
unit is running without an Internet connection meaning that the regular network based time sync software would not
work.
Gate overlapping can be enabled during setup, or if the 'Change Lidar settings' button is pressed during data
collection. This will cause range gates to be overlapped, instead of being processed end-to-end. The graphic below
gives an example of how the gates are aligned in 30m, 18m regular mode, and then 30m overlapped mode. Enabling
the overlapping mode will increase the size of processed data files by 10 times for a gate size of 10 points. The
corresponding Raw data file size is not increased in overlap mode.
