16. Safety Warnings for stripping paint. Before stripping
any paint, you should determine whether the paint
contains any lead. Paint containing lead should be
removed by a professional and not by using a heat
gun.
17. Ideally move the workpiece to an outdoor location.
If this is not possible, ensure the work area is well
ventilated.
18. Wear an approved dust respirator mask or dual filter
mask for dust and fumes. Ensure that the mask fits
properly. Disposable paper masks are not adequate.
19. Keep the gun moving when in use to avoid excessive
heat build up.
20. Keep food and drink out of the work area. Wash hands
and face thoroughly before eating or drinking.

low-noise operating modes as well as wear personal
protective equipment.
