6-3. Associating ArcReach Device To ArcReach Power Source

Quick Setup Guide:
1
Make connections between power source and ArcReach device. (See section pertaining to mode being used for typical connection
diagrams).
2
This power source has the ability to associate with an ArcReach device at power up, or when an ArcReach wire feeder is triggered.
3
See instructions in the owner's manual for the specific ArcReach device to associate the device to this power source.
4
During the association process the Remote in Use indicator will blink.
5
When the association process is complete, the Remote In Use indicator will be lit.
6
The power source will display ACC when an ArcReach SuitCase feeder or an ArcReach remote is connected to the power source. The front
panel of the power source will be locked out, except for setting inductance on an ArcReach feeder.

6-4. Setting Inductance

When an ArcReach SuitCase Feeder is connected to the power source, the Up or Down arrow key on the power source can be used to set the
inductance within the range of 0 to 99.
.
A non-ArcReach voltage sensing feeder does not have the inductance control feature.

6-5. Voltage Sensing Feeder Mode

Procedure:
1
For typical system connections (see Section 5-9).
2
To enter voltage sensing feeder mode press the Electrode and Stick buttons at the same time.
3
The power source will display preset voltage.
4
Refer to the voltage sensing feeder owner's manual for feeder operation.
5
To exit the voltage sensing feeder mode press the Stick button.

6-6. 14-Pin Interface

.
All 14-pin remote devices must have A to B contact closure to function.
.
The 14-pin is locked out when an ArcReach wire feeder is associated to the power source.
With a 14-pin remote connected.
Remote contactor ON/OFF functions:
S
OFF - Output of welding power source reduced to low OCV (25Volts) and weld output is inhibited.
S
ON - Inverter is enabled and 72 volts is present at the welding studs.
.
If in low OCV with the remote contactor on, the output of the welding power source is at 25 volts. The inverter will need a touch start to turn on.
Remote command:
S
Functions as a percentage of the setpoint on the power source interface or the pendant interface.
