Numerous cutting tools are used in lathing. For each cutting tool, measure its distance from the
center of the workpiece (absolute zero point of machining). Each value can then be assigned to
one of tool numbers 1 through 9 as a tool coordinate, and the necessary tool coordinate can later
be called by specifying a tool number.
When the power is turned on, the coordinate of the tool number that was used when the power
was last turned off is displayed. As other tool coordinates (numbers 2 through 9) are based on tool
number 1, be sure to start the setting from tool number 1.
Note
The tool number is factory-set to 1. When the power is turned on, tool No.1 is displayed.
