- In the 1GR version it is necessary to remove
the body to access the gas adjustment to be
carried out with the machine disconnected
from the mains (Fig. 13A).
- On the other 2GR and 3GR versions, the gas
adjustment can be done by removing the drip
tray with the machine connected to the mains
(Fig. 13B).
The machine leaves the factory configured for use
with liquid gas (LPG). The gas regulator is, there-
fore, fitted with the appropriate injector (6) shown
in the table below in 100/mm:

3 g
The flame is regulated (minimum and maximum)
to suit this type of gas. If the machine is to be used
with a different type of gas, it will be necessary to
replace the injector in accordance with the above
table and adjust the primary air regulator (10), in
the case of natural gas.
To do this, loosen the locking screw (9) and then
move the primary air regulator forwards or back-
wards. (10).
After the adjustment, retighten the locking screw
(9).
The air intake must still to be adjusted upon ma-
chine commissioning.
Warning: Connection to the gas distri-
bution network must be carried out in
compliance with current regulations.
Once the machine has been connect-
ed to the gas network, and after filling
the boiler with water, the burner can be ignited by
acting as follows:
• open the gas cock.

• Press the knob of the valve cock (2), turn it 90°
anticlockwise and keep it pressed, at the same
time press one or more times on the piezoelec-
tric ignition button (3) until the burner ignites
and continue to hold it down the knob.
• Wait about 20 seconds, then release the knob
of the valve and the burner will remain on (the
flame is visible from the holes specially made
on the front panel).
Warning: in case of ignition failure, do
not insist, then release the knob of the
valve and check that the ignition spark
on the burner is controlled.
If the flame goes out when the valve
knob is released, check the position of thermo-
couple and the circuit connected to it.
The flame should be bright blue; if not, adjust the
primary air intake (10) slightly until it becomes
bright blue.
Wait until the machine reaches the correct pres-
sure and check this is the desired value. Other-
wise, adjust the gas pressure switch which has two
adjustment screws.
When the machine is pressurised, check to see
that the minimum flame is correct by adjusting
the screw (5) if necessary. After loosening the
locking-nut, unscrew the screw until it feels loose
and check whether, under these conditions, a low
flame remains lit, thus acting as a pilot.
If the flame is too high, you must adjust the screw
(4), by turning it slightly clockwise. If, on the other
hand, the flame tends to go out, then adjust the
screw (4) by turning it anticlockwise, until a very
low, but constant flame is obtained.
Then turn the screw (5) clockwise until there is a
high flame, and wait for the boiler to reach the
desired operating pressure. If the flame dies down
before reaching the required pressure, tighten the
screw (5) further; if the flame dies down at a high-
er pressure, then unscrew it.
Check that it is working by opening the steam tap
once or twice to release the pressure in the boiler,
then hold the screw (5) still and lock it with the
locking-nut.
