Approved Access Points List
poses. This table is not the same as the Priority Table discussed here, and is only included as an aid
to facilitate configuration.

table.
—Priority Table of Access Points. This table should include the Wireless MAC Address of the
1-9
desired Access Point units.
When association to an AP is terminated for any reason, the Remote enters Scanning mode. During this time
it listens for beacons from an AP that matches the network name. If the Prioritized AP option is enabled,
then the Wireless MAC Address of the AP must be part of the list at the remote. The initial list includes only
the first entry of the table. If no beacon is received that matches the requirement and the Scan Time is
exceeded, then the list is expanded to include the first two entries.
When a beacon matches the requirements, then the association process continues. It may be that the Remote
associates to an AP that is not the first entry in the table. In this case the Remote will wait for Connection
Time before breaking the connection and starting the process all over again. This process will be repeated
until the Remote associates to the first entry in the list (the Primary Access Point).
