 CAUTION
Wrong operation and insufficient hearing protection!
Injury to the patient
◆ Apply the MagnaPlugs carefully.
◆ Check your system owner manual for the hearing
protection data and decide whether the noise reduction of
about 36.7 dB Single Number Rating is sufficient.
4 Route the cable over and behind the patient's ear.
5 Use wedge cushions to position the patient's head in the head coil.
Ensure that the red MagnaCoil Coupler does not touch the coil wall
as this may increase the noise level.
Now you can communicate with the patient as usual via the
intercom.
When using a short echo time (TE < 2 ms), parts of the PVC tubes of
the MagnaCoil Headset System may be visible in the MR image! In
this case ambiguity artifacts in the MR image may occur due to
aliasing and folding back. The position of the artifact in the MR
image may deviate from its actual location!
