11 Operation

The Presence Watchdog can be operated via an external normally-open contact
button or via the hand-held IR transmitter 6010. The source of light can be
switched on or off selectively regardless of the prevailing brightness conditions
and of the potentiometer settings.

11.1 Additional operation via NO pushbuttons

The system can be operated from an extension unit via standard normally-open
contact buttons, which have to be connected to terminal (1) of the flush-mounting
insert. The pushbutton has to have an L-conductor and an N-conductor if an
illumination of the pushbutton is desired.
● If the normally-open contact button is pressed briefly (t= < 900 ms), it toggles
between ON and OFF.
● In the "semiautomatic" mode, the lighting is switched on if the button is
pressed briefly.
● If the button is pressed for a long time (t= > 3 seconds), a new brightness
value is set in the constant light control mode.
● In the case of dual light control, both outputs can be switched separately.
Extension units and normally-open contact buttons can be connected in parallel.
(See the connection diagrams in chapter 4.)
